Join Multi Award Winning Platinum PADI Course Director Holly
Macleod on the IDC Gili Islands in August 2016 and become a scuba diving Instructor
at the first ever PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) to be
established in the Gili Islands and the entire Lombok region.
The Instructor Development Program is actually made up of
two parts; the PADI Instructor Development Course and the Pre-IDC preparation
course which is conducted before the IDC. The August preparation workshops take
place over a 5 day period and start on the 8th August and is
immediately followed by the PADI IDC Course starting on the 13th
August. All candidates are strongly advised to arrive on the 8th so
as to take full advantage of the entire program and be fully prepared for the
Instructor Examination. Having previously won the PADI “Outstanding
Contribution to Professional Development” Award the program has been recognized
and praised throughout the diving industry.
The program is fully conducted by PADI Course Director Holly
Macleod who is recognized within the diving industry as a global leader in
professional scuba diving Instructor level training and has received multiple
awards for her personal contribution to the industry including the PADI Elite
Instructor and Frequent Trainer Awards. The PADI Elite Instructor Awards
Program is designed to recognize instructors who have issued a certain number
of certifications within a particular year and come in the form of
50,100,150,200,250,300 certifications. In 2015 Holly issued nearly 500
certifications and therefore received the “Elite-300” Award; the highest
possible level within this award program. The Frequent Trainer Award Program
recognizes PADI Course Directors for their contribution to instructor level
training and is awarded based on professionalism, commitment, training
standards and overall number of certifications and continuing education
conversions. The Frequent Trainer Award Program categorizes PADI Course
Directors into three categories; the “Gold”, “Silver” and “Platinum” Status
Awards. Holly received the “Platinum Status” Award; the highest possible
category.
The program takes place at the only PADI 5 Star IDC CDC Center in Gili Trawangan, Indonesia which is the largest of the
three islands commonly referred to as the Gili’s situated off the North West
Coast of Lombok and is easily located by fast boat from the island of Bali. The
Gili Islands are a rapidly growing tourist destination and therefore the dive
industry is also rapidly expanding with a growing number of people looking to
take their entry level dive courses. Conversely dive centers are always on the
lookout for new instructors to cater for the influx of new student divers.
